Because I’m trying to move forward, not sprinting to finish something, I’m giving myself time this week to enjoy the holiday and hopefully stress less over the more laborious bits (Laura Vanderkam wrote, today, a lovely reminder that “all magic is just labor, hidden well” which exemplifies the holidays for many of us).
Monday and Tuesday: 1 hour each
Weds, Thursday, Friday: no goals, although I’ll probably find myself scrawling a few notes here and there, as I’m at the point of thinking about one of my November efforts in particular whenever my body is occupied but my mind is not.
Saturday, November 30: 3 hours (largely because I’ll have both a flight and a long bus trip).
I recorded my goals in our Google Spreadsheet (which I am the WORST at updating) in a new column, and then on Saturday maybe we’ll all drop in and say how we felt about what we’ve done—I’ll probably send out a missive.
Meanwhile: I will (of course) be writing in December. It helps me stay grounded, to have a project and to know it will be waiting for me, and it helps me set my goals. But like Novelmber, I won’t be shooting for a certain number of words on a page. Actually, what I’ll probably be doing is prepping for the January Blueprint, which I plan to join. (We’re running the Blueprint for a book again in January, and I would love to link you to a post ALL ABOUT IT except we haven’t written one yet.)
So who’s in for…. Decentmber? As in, decent effort? Or Decelember, as in decelerate but keep going?
